I have been notified of several posting for rentals that are IDENTIFY THEFT SCAMS
designed to steal your PERSONAL INFORMATION using RENTAL APPLICATION FORMS.

Avoid rental scams by submitting your rental application in person or verifying that you are dealing with someone associated with the property in question. If the property is also FOR SALE make sure you lookup and verify the contact information for the LISTING AGENT then call them to verify the rental status before you send any personal information to anyone claiming the property is for rent.

Avoid sending any personal information out of state or to another country. Submit your rental application in person. If you must SNAIL MAIL, FAX or E-MAIL any personal information INDEPENDENTLY VERIFY the address/fax/phone number before you send any personal information to someone not associated with the real owner of the property.
